YMMV.Keeping nuts, bolts, washers, clamps, etc. The "Corvette Servo" that OPT sells that I am reviewing here is NOT the "Superior 2nd Gear Super Servo" so I DID use "spring A". If you get the whole package like I did, the "SUPER SERVO" "4th Apply Piston & Cover" comes with it's own instructions that say to leave out "spring A" if "this servo is being used along with the "Superior 2nd Gear Super Servo".
